Woman charged in shooting death at nightclub

Sandy Guerrero has been charged with murder

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a woman in connection to the shooting death of a man at Northwest Side nightclub on May 15.

Sandy Guerrero has been charged with murder in the shooting death of her ex-husband Miguel Guerrero, 34, despite not pulling the trigger.

According to Texas Law two statutes, "Parties to Offenses" and "Criminal Responsibility for Conduct of Another", allow the state to charge accomplices to the same offense as the main actor of the crime.

Police said Sandy Guerrero encouraged a man to shoot her ex-husband following an argument inside Joe's Volcano, found in the 6800 block of Ingram Road.

Police said management originally forced the people to leave the bar, and that's when the dispute continued in the parking lot. That's when, police said, someone opened fire, shooting Miguel Guerrero in the head and another person in the chest.

San Antonio police at the time said they were looking for three suspects -- two men and a woman -- who they said left in a black Cadillac Escalade.
