Texas Equality to hold vigil for Orlando shooting victim Sunday evening

50 killed, 53 injured in nation's worst mass shooting

SAN ANTONIO – Texas Equality is organizing a vigil Sunday night at Crockett Park in San Antonio to honor those killed and injured in the nation’s largest mass shooting on record.

Fifty people were killed and another 53 injured when a gunman walked into the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando Sunday morning and began firing.

Crockett Park is located at 1300 North Main Avenue just north of downtown San Antonio.

The vigil will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Texas Equality is asking San Antonians to, “Join our community and our allies of San Antonio as we honor and mourn the LGBTQIA lives taken too soon this weekend in Orlando, Florida,” the event’s Facebook page stated.
