SAN ANTONIO – Firefighters responded to a call for a fully-engulfed house fire early Monday morning, fire officials said.
The fire was reported just before 7 a.m. in the 1900 block of San Carlos Street, found near Chuahua Street and Tampico Street on the city's West Side.

According to an officer at the scene, authorities believe someone managed to get inside the abandoned home and set fire to the building.
Firefighters said the house had no power and that the fire started in a bedroom. Officials were seen taking a smoldering mattress out of the house.
Arson is investigating the cause.
No one was hurt.
