Motorcyclist wanted after leading deputies on high-speed chase

Joe Cedillo ran away, has criminal history, officials say

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is searching for 32-year-old Joe Cedillo, who led deputies on a high-speed chase on his motorcycle late Sunday night, officials said.

The chase began around 11 p.m., when a sheriff's deputy attempted to pull over Cedillo on Loop 410 near Rigsby Avenue for having broken tail lights.

Deputies said Cedillo sped off and led authorities up Interstate 35 to Rittiman Road. During the chase, he ran several lights and stop signs and at times drove the wrong way, officials said.

The chase ended in the 3600 block of Pecan Valley at South Side Lions Park, where Cedillo ditched the bike and started running, officials said.

Cedillo has a criminal history, which includes charges of burglary of a vehicle and evading arrest.

Anyone with information about Cedillo's whereabouts is asked to call the BCSO tip line at 210-335-TIPS (8577).
