SAN ANTONIO – A fight between a couple ended with a woman wounded and in the hospital, San Antonio police said Thursday.
The incident was reported just before 2:30 a.m. in the 5300 block of Costa Mesa Street, found near Benrus Boulevard and Culebra Road on the city's Northwest Side.
Police said a 31-year-old man allegedly stabbed his girlfriend in the right side of the chest with a pocket knife following an argument. The argument started police said, when the suspect pushed the girlfriend's father down.
The man fled the scene but police found him at an apartment complex near Fredericksburg Road.
The woman was taken to University Hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
