Netflix coming for Comcast subscribers

Service coming to cable boxes

Comcast customers will soon be able to use Netflix like a regular cable channel.

According to a Forbes report, Netflix and Comcast announced a new partnership that will allow users to stream Netflix through Comcast's "next-gen" cable box, dubbed the X-1 box.

Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, Forbes reported.

The service is expected to be available to subscribers sometime "later this year," according to a joint statement from the companies provided to Forbes.

Netflix doesn't announce viewership figures of its shows like traditional TV has done for years.

It claimed 81.5 million subscribers at the end of the first quarter 2016.
