Southern town bans sagging pants

Ordinance passed 5-1

 

Timmonsville, South Carolina just passed a new town ordinance making it illegal to wear sagging pants.

 

According to the Associated Press, wearing trousers, pants or shorts that intentionally show a person's underwear is punishable by fine.

 

The ordinance passed 5-1 Tuesday, and also includes a ban on nudity. The city's council members claim the rule is to help "young people make better choices."
