CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – A pickup truck crashed into a parked car, which ran over and killed a couple sleeping inside a tent on a Corpus Christi beach, police said.
According to KRIS-TV.com, the victims owned the car that ran over them early Wednesday.

The campers, a man and a woman in their 30s, were not in the driving path on the beach near Bob Hall Pier, police said.
The incident is being investigated as intoxication manslaughter, KRIS-TV.com reported. The driver was released without being charged after police administered a sobriety test and took a blood sample. Police are waiting on the test results before deciding on whether charges will be filed.
The victims are not from Corpus Christi, KRIS-TV.com reported.
