Hit-and-run driver strikes BSCO deputy after Garth Brooks concert

Drive leaves scene, returns

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is trying to determine whether a woman will face charges for hitting a police officer with her car and leaving the scene late Saturday night.

The deputy was directing traffic in the 3000 block of East Commerce Street after the Garth Brooks concert when a woman stuck him with her car, said deputies.

The impact was so strong he rolled over the car and landed in the street, deputies said.

The driver continued driving then later returned to the scene and told deputies she thought she hit a traffic cone.

The deputy was treated for his injuries on the scene.
