The affidavit said Trevino dropped the stolen merchandise and ran to his vehicle.

That's when, the affidavit said, Trevino started the vehicle and reversed into the officer as the officer attempted to take him into custody -- trapping the officer between the door and the door frame.

The officer was then dragged a short distance suffering injuries to both legs and his arm, the affidavit said.

Trevino fled, but the officer injured identified the suspect from a photo array.

Detectives located Trevino's last known home address and he was taken into custody.
