Teen arrested for impersonating police officer

Police believe more victims could be involved

SAN ANTONIO – A 19-year-old man was arrested Saturday for impersonating a police officer. Investigators said Rudy Tapia had been pulling people over in his unmarked car with strobe lights.

“It was all a joke, just a joke,” Tapia said when asked about the charges.

Detectives began their investigation after a victim filed a complaint. The victim identified Tapia in a photo lineup.

Police located the suspect without a problem. They said he confessed to the crime.

Investigators also said evidence found in Tapia’s car led them to believe there may be more victims. Anyone who was pulled over by Tapia is asked to call 210-207-7635.
