SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police arrested two men after they allegedly used a gun to rob a man on the city's North West Side.
The incident began just before 3 a.m. in the 1600 block of Callaghan Road not far from Culebra Road.
According to police, a car matching the description of the vehicle used in the robbery was found on Callaghan Road near Loop 410. That's when, police said, officers followed the car to an exit on Fredericksburg Road before being led to the parking lot of Graham Central Station, a bar on that side of town.
The vehicle then led police to the back parking lot and attempted to exit before crashing through the fence of an apartment complex located in the 7100 block of Oaklawn.
Authorities said the vehicle crashed into an apartment building before the two suspects fled on foot.
The Eagle helicopter and K9 units assisted in finding the suspects during a search that lasted roughly 30 minutes.
The first suspect was apprehended after running directly into officers, while the second was found by K9 units hiding in an unlocked sport utility vehicle.
The suspects will be charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
