Argument between neighbors ends with man being shot, police say

Incident was reported around 8 p.m. Wednesday

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A domestic dispute between neighbors ended with a gun being fired and a man in an area hospital, the New Braunfels Police Department said Thursday.

The incident was reported around 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Cherokee Boulevard in New Braunfels.

According to police, officers arrived on scene to find a 33-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police said EMS transported the victim to San Antonio Military Medical Center in serious condition.

At this time it is not known what the argument was that led to the shooting. 

The name of the victim has yet to be released.

NPBD detectives are interviewing those involved and the case remains an ongoing investigation.
