SAN ANTONIO – A man involved in a hostage situation surrendered to law enforcement early Saturday morning, following a near six hour standoff.
Around midnight, San Antonio police responded to a disturbance call on Ivy Bend near Loop 1604 on the far north west side.
When they arrived, a mother said her son locked her out of the house and police said they heard gunshots.
A SWAT team was called in to negotiate with the suspect.
Around 5:45 a.m., the suspect surrendered and was taken into police custody.
