Woman leads cross-city chase, crash

Police responded to gunshots

SAN ANTONIO – A woman was arrested early Sunday morning after police said she fired gunshots then led them on a high speed chase from the north to the south side of town.

San Antonio police responded to a call about shots fired in the 100 block of Vassar Lane and said they saw a woman fire a gun then drive off in a vehicle.

The officer was given permission to chase the woman.

She led police down East Hildebrand to 281 South then to Interstate 35 South, said police.

She eventually made it to Southwest Military and Rayburn drives where she tried to make a right turn, lost control, jumped a curb, hitting a fence and tree, police said.

The woman was arrested and charges are pending.
