United Way Campaign Chair Rick Cavender said he’s optimistic it’s a goal that can be met.

"It's just amazing how this city comes together, this community,” he said. “Over the last three years, over $150 million has been raised for the 67 agencies, 167 programs of the United Way, so it's a big impact, a tremendous impact, for our community."

The theme for this year’s campaign is “together we go far.” It’s based on a song Cavender recorded for the annual communitywide fundraiser.
