Woman hospitalized after being stabbed in chest

Victim was taken to SAMMC for her injury

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said a woman is recovering in an area hospital after being stabbed early Wednesday morning.

The incident was reported around 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of East Baylor Street, found in the southern part of downtown.

According to police the woman told them that her boyfriend attacked her, stabbing her once in the upper chest. The boyfriend however claims that the woman stabbed herself.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in stable condition for her injuries.

There is no word on any arrests.

The investigation is ongoing.
