SAN ANTONIO – A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with a body found on the Padre Island National Seashore in Corpus Christi.
Gregorio Barrera was charged with murder in the death of Andres Marquez Barrera, 46. The victim was last seen Sept. 1 in the 8000 block of Sagebrush Lane in San Antonio.

Barrera's skeletal remains were found Sept. 25 on the beach.
DNA tests helped investigators identify the victim.
After further investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Barrera.
