KERRVILLE, Texas – Police are asking for the public’s help to find the people who shot a 7-year-old girl in the head in Kerrville earlier this month.
The shooting happened on Oct. 1 at the intersection of Schreiner Street and Paschal Avenue. Mariah Gilkey was shot while sitting in her father’s car.
Police said a group of unknown people fired several rounds at the vehicle.
Mariah is doing OK but has many more weeks of intense therapy ahead of her.
Police said they’re looking for people who were seen leaving in a dark compact vehicle. They’re also seeking any information about a man who was seen running from the shooting scene.
