Texas Rangers investigating deputy-involved shooting in Guadalupe County, Seguin Gazette says

Shooting left 1 man injured

SEGUIN, Texas – The Texas Rangers are investigating a deputy-involved shooting in Guadalupe County, according to the Seguin Gazette newspaper.

The paper reported that a man was injured when a Guadalupe County sheriff’s deputy shot him this morning. It happened in the 1900 block of FM 464.

The deputy was apparently trying to serve a felony warrant on a man when another person came up to him holding a gun.

The man refused to put his weapon down. That’s when the deputy shot him once in the upper chest.

The man was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center for treatment.
