Vote, vote, vote, vote everybody
While this election has left some people wanting a drink, LMFAO’s song “Shots” and my cheesy attempt at humor in a headline will have to do for this story. After nearly 18 months of back and forth, Texans can head to the polls on Monday to begin early voting in the 2016 presidential election. We’ve got all the information that you need, including sample ballots and early voting locations across South Texas.
Deadly consequences
A collision with a suspected intoxicated driver left two parents dead and three of their children injured. The crash happened on Loop 1604 in East Bexar County around noon Saturday. On Sunday, we learned the name of the suspected drunken driver and that the victims are from Mexico.
Unholy offering
Parishioners at a small East Side church returned for worship Sunday, days after the sanctuary was burglarized. Thieves took off with thousands of dollars worth of audio equipment and caused $2,000 in damage.
No blank space here, or any space for that matter
Nothing in their wildest dreams could have prepared the 100,000 fans for Taylor Swift's return during a one-night only performance. It was a true love story as fans flocked from out of the woods to the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix just east of Austin. It was her first concert since she ended her 1989 World Tour in December -- and she was fearless. Fans felt safe and sound listening to the singer perform. While some might have argued people should’ve said no to the pricey tickets, Swift reminded everyone who they belonged to.
