SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said a driver is recovering after they crashed their pick-up truck into a tree overnight.
The accident occurred just before midnight Monday in the 100 block of Southwest Military Drive.
Police said the driver of the truck had run a red light before slamming into a car in the South Side intersection. The impact of the collision caused the truck to jump a curb and then ram into a tree in the parking lot of a nearby Walgreens, police said.
A passenger inside the vehicle was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with head injuries.
Several others were checked by emergency crews at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
