SAN ANTONIO – Our Lady of the Lake University was placed on a brief lockdown Wednesday after reports of an armed man near campus.
The university said in a tweet an armed man was near the west gate.
San Antonio police responded to the West Side campus.
It was later determined that the man was "exercising right to open carry" the university said.
The west gate remained closed and evening classes were canceled as a precaution, according to a university tweet.
