Man, 18, arrested in connection with assault, ambush on two men

Nathan Thomas Losoya accused of opening fire on men, affidavit says

SAN ANTONIO – An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with an ambush on two men at a home in north Bexar County.

According to an arrest affidavit, the men told police that on March 3 they gave a female friend a ride to a home in the 21600 block of Rio Comal, where she invited them to the garage stating, "There were more girls inside."

When the men walked into the garage, they were confronted by a suspect with a baseball bat, the affidavit said. The suspect, Walker Lee Romain, assaulted one of the men with the bat, the affidavit said. The man suffered three fractures to his left forearm, bruises to his face and back and a cut to his lip.

During the assault, another suspect, Nathan Thomas Losoya, pointed a gun at the other man, the affidavit said.

The victims managed to get away from the suspects and got into a Chevrolet Camaro, the affidavit said.

As they drove off, Losoya opened fire on the car, hitting it three times, the affidavit said.

The victims identified Losoya in a photo lineup. He was arrested and charged on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The affidavit didn't say if Romain was arrested.
