Man slashed by knife during domestic fight, police say

Incident was reported in 100 block of San Nicolas Walk

SAN ANTONIO – A man is recovering Friday morning after being cut on the face, arm and back and he might be the one facing charges, San Antonio police said.

The incident was reported just after 11 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of San Nicolas Walk, found on the city's near West Side.

Police said the man told them that he and his wife had gotten into an argument over her cheating on him.

The woman told police that he had tried to choke her, and that's when she cut him with a kitchen knife claiming it was self-defense.

Police said they found no bruising around her neck, but they are still investigating.

The man was taken to downtown Baptist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
