SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating after a man was found shot in the back of the neck at a South Side apartment complex.
The 26-year-old man was taken to SAMMC in stable condition.
Officers sent to the 7500 block of Old Corpus Christi Road before 4:30 p.m. Saturday found the victim shot in the back of his neck. The bullet exited through his mouth.
Police are following a trail of blood that runs through the complex.
Police said the man was coming or going to the store when he was shot, and then he ran to his girlfriend’s apartment.
Due to his injuries, the man couldn’t give officers details on what happened, and no one seems to have seen or heard anything.
Officers aren’t sure if the man was shot at the complex. They said it’s possible he was dropped off.
