Man arrested after attacking step-father outside home

Christopher Farias, 45, is charged with injury to the elderly

SAN ANTONIO – A man has been arrested after attacking his step-father on the city's North Side, an arrest affidavit says.

Christopher Farias, 45, has been charged with injury to the elderly. 

According to the affidavit, the victim said Farias asked him to step outside his home in the 400 block of West Wildwood before starting to kick and punch him.

The victim yelled for help, and neighbors called 911, the affidavit said.

The man suffered multiple bruises and lacerations to the face, head and arms, the affidavit said.

The affidavit also said Farias has a criminal arrest record involving charges relating to previous family violence assault, evading arrest, and deadly conduct.

The victim said in the affidavit he did not know what sparked the attack.
