Police seek answers for 2 far NE Side shootings

1st shooting occurred 10 p.m. Wednesday, 2nd at 3 a.m. Thursday

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are working to figure out who shot two men in two separate shootings overnight.

The first shooting occurred just before 10 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the city's far Northeast Side.

Police said the 42-year-old man drove himself to a gas station in the 2500 block of Austin Highway where he then called for help. 

The man was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said they checked the apartment complex where the shooting occurred for clues. So far no arrests have been made in the case.

A second man was also hospitalized with facial injuries after being shot early Thursday.

The shooting was reported around 3 a.m. in the 8200 block of Perrin Beitel Road found not far from Loop 410.

Police said that victim was talking to five individuals inside a car before the shooting. The car went down the block only to return and then someone inside the car shot at him, hitting him in the face.

The injured man was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for his injuries.

Investigations into both shootings are on-going.
