Man arrested for murder, woman charged with assault in deadly fight

Bobby Lee Garza, 21, Kianna Mayberry, 24, have been taken into custody

SAN ANTONIO – A brawl in far West Bexar County has led to two people facing criminal charges, one arrested for murder, an arrest warrant affidavit says.

21-year-old Bobby Lee Garza and 24-year-old Kianna Mayberry have been arrested following a fight that took place on Nov. 20.

The affidavit said Garza faces murder and assault charges while Mayberry is charged with assault.

Bexar County deputies said when they arrived at the scene they found three victims inside a home in the 9800 block of Foxmoor Creek on the city's far West Side.

One of them, Veco Holloway, 46, died from his injuries. The other victims told investigators that they all had been beaten and kicked by Garza, Mayberry and another woman.

The arrest affidavit said the victims blamed Garza for beating Holloway and causing his death.

A third suspect is named in the affidavit but it does not mention if she has been arrested yet.
