SAN ANTONIO – A jury on Tuesday decided that a 53-year-old man should spend the rest of his life in prison for the beating death and dismemberment of his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend.
Jurors deliberated for 10 minutes before determining punishment for Michael Quinn, who was found guilty Monday of killing Albert Guerra, 56.
According to trial testimony, Quinn killed Guerra by beating him over the head with a hammer. Quinn admitted to police that he dismembered the victim's body.
Quinn will be eligible for parole in 30 years.
