SA police searching for two men accused of robbing pawn shop

Thieves reportedly ran off with jewelry


SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for two men after a pawn shop was robbed on the Northwest Side.

The robbery happened about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Bandera Road.

Police said one of the two men, who were wearing hockey masks, was carrying an assault rifle when they entered the store. They reportedly smashed out the glass in a jewelry case, grabbed the jewelry and fled.

The men fled in a dark pickup truck. Police later found the truck abandoned on Waverly Street.
