SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Animal Care Services will be offering free pet microchips to city residents Friday afternoon.
Residents can bring their pets, in a carrier or leashed, to the Meadowcliff Community Center at 1240 Pinn Road from 2-5 p.m.

Pet owners with a picture ID and proof of residency will be able to get free microchips for their pets, including basic lifetime registration that is updatable any time without charge.
The microchip can help trace a lost dog or cat back to its owner.
