Pair pistol-whipped during argument over lost cellphone

SAN ANTONIO – A petty argument turned violent on the city’s West Side. Police said a pair of friends were pistol-whipped over a lost cellphone.

The argument happened about 8 p.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of South General McMullen. Police said the victims maintain a carwash there and were blamed for a lost cellphone.

One of the four suspects was carrying a shotgun and pistol-whipped the pair.

Both victims suffered cuts to the face and are expected to be OK. The suspects are on the run.
