2 women stabbed on city's Southwest Side

Victims were walking to convenience store

SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating after two women were stabbed on the Southwest Side just after 9 p.m. Sunday.

The stabbing occurred off New Laredo Highway, one block south of Southwest Military Highway.

Police said the two women and a man began arguing with another man at a bus stop. The trio tried to run away from the other man; however, the two women – ages 19 and 26 – were stabbed.

Both women were taken to University Hospital.

San Antonio police quickly caught up with the suspect and arrested him. He remained detained by police at the scene Sunday night.

Police said the four people did not know each other.
