Man robs credit union on near NW Side

Robbery reported Tuesday at First Mark Credit Union on Donaldson Avenue


SAN ANTONIO – A man robbed a credit union Tuesday afternoon on the city's near Northwest Side.

San Antonio police said the man walked into First Mark Credit Union at 122 Donaldson Ave. around 3:30 p.m., and gave a teller a black bag and a note asking for large bills.

The teller told the man she only had quarters, police said.

The man told the teller to ask a co-worker for some large bills.

The other teller put some money on the counter, which the man grabbed in addition to the quarters, police said.

The man took off on foot.

The man was wearing a  blue or purple hooded sweatshirt and blue pants, police said.

He has a rounded tattoo or birthmark under his right eye, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the man's identity or his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP (7867).

Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the man's arrest.
