SAN ANTONIO – Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a shooting on the city's East Side.
The shooting was reported at 2:10 p.m. in the 1300 block of Wheatley, San Antonio police Chief William McManus said.

He said officers found one of the victims behind the wheel of a car outside a building. The driver was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.
The other victim was found behind the building. His injuries were not believed to be as severe as those of the driver, McManus said.
Police had no immediate information on the shooter or his vehicle.
McManus said the shooting was either gang- or drug-related.
