CASTLE HILLS, Texas – A traffic stop in Castle Hills turned into a foot chase that ended with the suspect being hit by a car, police said Tuesday.
The incident was reported just after midnight in the 1900 block of Northwest Loop 410.

Castle Hills police said an officer tried to make a routine traffic stop on the access road but the driver refused to pull over. Police said the driver sped off before bailing out of the vehicle, leaving inside a female passenger.
Police said the suspect ran and crossed over the highway before being hit by a car going eastbound. The driver of the vehicle that hit the suspect did not stop, police said.
The suspect was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
