Free microchips for pets at Microchip MANIA

Animal Care Services to provide microchip implants

SAN ANTONIO – Local pet owners can get their animal companions a microchip ID for free on Friday at Microchip MANIA.

Animal Care Services, the group hosting the event, will implant microchips into pets. Each microchip has a unique ID number that can be read by a scanner, which can help trace them back to the owner if lost.

The offer includes basic lifetime registration and the microchips can be updated at any time free of charge.

Animal Care Services will host the clinic at the Garza Community Center at 1450 Mira Vista from 2-5 p.m.

The offer is available for pets of City of San Antonio residents only, and photo I.D. is required.
