Man attacks woman, boy he thought were laughing at him, authorities say

SAN ANTONIO – A few laughs caused a man to go on the attack against a young woman and a teenage boy, authorities said.

Abel Fondon is charged with assault causing bodily injury, authorities said.

Investigators said Fondon has been drinking all day and went into his bedroom to sleep. He heard people talking and came out. The 20-year-old victim laughed.

Fondon thought the victim was laughing at him, so he slapped her in the face, authorities said. Police said he then repeatedly punched a second victim, a 14-year-old boy, who suffered a concussion.

Fondon has two prior convictions for assault causing bodily injury.
