Police arrest 2 carjacking suspects on North Side

Suspects were found at apartment in 1500 block of Jackson Keller Rd

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested two young men accused of stealing a vehicle at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

The incident was reported around 3 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Jackson Keller Road, found not far form Robert E. Lee High School and Blanco Road on the city's North Side.

The two young men, said to be roughly 16-20 years-old, have both been taken into custody. As many as three additional suspects were also being searched for by police after they took off running through Castle Hills.

Investigators said one of the vehicles found was a black Dodge Dart stolen late last month out of Bexar County. Officials said they believe that the suspects were using it to commit other robberies. Inside the vehicle police found several items, one of which belonged to a victim in another robbery case.

A white KIA taken by the suspects at gunpoint early Wednesday morning was also located by police nearby.
