SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio firefighters were called to battle a two-alarm fire overnight, fire officials said Thursday.
The fire was reported just before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 8000 block of Interstate 35 near Navajo Street.
Firefighters said a trash pile next to the Baptist University of Americas caught fire. The flames then spread to a nearby building and into an attic, firefighters said.
The fire took crews about 30 minutes to get under control, firefighters said.
The amount of damage caused is not known.
The investigation into the fire is ongoing.
