Multiple people hit in East Side shooting

Shooting occurred in 300 block of Ferris Avenue

SAN ANTONIO – Three men were hit by by four gunmen in a drive-by shooting Wednesday evening.

The shooting occurred in the 300 block of Ferris Avenue on San Antonio’s East Side about 5:30 p.m.

Police said the victims told officers they were standing around when a green Ford Explorer with an unknown number of men inside pulled up next to them and opened fire.

Two of the victims are in their 20s. The third victim is in his 60s.

All three men were hit in their legs. However, police said a bullet hit the older man in his artery.

That man was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in serious condition. Police found at least 25 shell casings at the scene.

The victims said they did not shoot back, police said.
