Police looking for man who shot woman, drove over another's leg

Shooter last seen driving black Chevy Tahoe

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are trying to track down a man who injured two women -- one with a gun and the other with an SUV -- after an argument on the city's Southeast Side.

Officers responding to a call about a shooting around 11:30 p.m. Thursday found one woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her lower back.

Police said witnesses told them a man driving a black Chevy Tahoe had fired the shots after an argument at an apartment complex in the 6800 block of Pecan Valley. The witnesses said while making his escape, the shooter also ran over another woman's leg, breaking her ankle.

Police put out a description of the vehicle and at some point later, thought they spotted the Chevy Tahoe.

They said they attempted to stop the SUV but the driver kept going and eventually stopped after it crashed into another car. A third woman was hurt in the crash.

All three injured women were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police said they arrested the driver on charges related to the chase and crash. However, they said they later realized that he and his Chevy Tahoe were not the ones involved in the earlier shooting.
