SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office made history with its largest promotion ceremony ever. Thirty deputies moved up the ranks.
There are two new lieutenants, 14 new sergeants and two new investigators in the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Javier Salazar called it a great night for the Sheriff’s Office and thanked the families who support his department.
"It's a proud moment for all the promotes, but the families, I mean, they've been through a whole bunch over the past couple of months while their respected deputy was promoting for the next rank and so this is a tribute to them and their dedication as a family,” Salazar said.
Salazar said his next focus is recruiting young people to continue evolving and moving forward as an agency.
