SAN ANTONIO – A KSAT viewer saw a fugitive featured on the news Tuesday at 10 p.m. Within 24 hours, San Antonio police had him in handcuffs.
Avery Khoury, 18, had been wanted since he was indicted in September 2016 on four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a girl under the age of 14.
The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force asked for help to find Khoury.
Deputy Chris Bozeman said the viewer saw the segment and called San Antonio police with information on where Khoury worked and lived. An officer saw Khoury and arrested him.
Khoury knew he was wanted, Bozeman said.
Magistrate records show Khoury's bond is set at $75,000.
