The hand-out will take place in the lower-level area of Dillard’s Court, at 6301 NW Loop 410.

The mall teamed up with ChildSafe’s Cardboard Kids to make the community-wide effort possible.

Cardboard Kids are 2-foot-high cutouts that you can pick up, decorate and display in a prominent spot on April 6. People are encouraged to take a photo of their family’s Cardboard Kid and share it on social media, using the hashtag #cardboardkidsSA.

This is an opportunity for parents to talk with their children about child abuse and personal safety.

The campaign runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The hours will be the same for the following week.
