Free Cardboard Kids available at Ingram Park Mall

Distributions intended to spread awareness of child abuse, neglect

SAN ANTONIO – Cardboard Kids will be handed out for free Saturday and Sunday at Ingram Park Mall to spread awareness of child abuse and neglect.

The cutouts also will be distributed free of charge March 10 and 11.

The hand-out will take place in the lower-level area of Dillard’s Court, at 6301 NW Loop 410.

The mall teamed up with ChildSafe’s Cardboard Kids to make the community-wide effort possible.

Cardboard Kids are 2-foot-high cutouts that you can pick up, decorate and display in a prominent spot on April 6. People are encouraged to take a photo of their family’s Cardboard Kid and share it on social media, using the hashtag #cardboardkidsSA.

This is an opportunity for parents to talk with their children about child abuse and personal safety.

The campaign runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The hours will be the same for the following week.

You can find tips on how to talk to your children at cardboardkidsSA.com.
