Police seek suspect in fatal crash into home

Suspect believed to have stolen vehicle, failed to stop and render aid

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for crashing a stolen vehicle into a home, ultimately killing a man last year.

Police said on Dec. 12 around 4:30 a.m. a stolen white 2012 Honda Pilot was traveling north in the 300 block of W. Ramsey when it crashed into a home, going through the wall while Andrew Weatherford slept nearby. Weatherford eventually died as a result of the accident.

The suspect is described as last wearing a white or light grey hoodie with white gloves and a black hat and was last seen driving a white Chevy pickup with a bicycle in the bed.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or his whereabouts are urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
