North Side street to get curbs, sidewalks, driveway approaches

Project will repair West Lynwood Ave. from Capitol Ave. to Blanco Rd.

SAN ANTONIO – Residents who live along three blocks of West Lynwood Avenue on the city’s North Side will have a bumpy drive while crews redo their street.

City leaders kicked off the three- to four-month-long project Wednesday, which will stretch from Capitol Avenue to Blanco Road.

The repairs will cost more than $700,000 and will add curbs, sidewalks and driveway approaches.

"There are always potholes, or the branches overgrown in different areas,” neighborhood resident Valerie Amber said. “So it's great to actually see your tax dollars at work."

The city’s five-year program focuses on the best maintenance available to San Antonio’s infrastructure.
