Man shot three times at Northwest Side bar

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said a man was shot multiple times when a gunman opened fire on a bar on the Northwest Side early Sunday morning. 

According to police, a man fired multiple shots at the "What's It To Ya Lounge" in the 5700 block of Evers Road. A man inside was struck three times, police said. The victim was taken to University Hospital in serious condition.

Police are investigating whether the gunman was targeting the bar or the man inside. A manager for the business -- who asked to remain anonymous -- contacted KSAT and said the shooter was never inside. She also said it appeared as if the gunman was only targeting the victim.

She also said they found 28 shell casing in the parking lot.

Police said the gunman fled the scene and is still at large.
