Kansas City police responded to a high school Monday due to a reported threat.

According to KCTVnews5.com, police officials said the school received a call from someone who claimed to be a student saying that they were at the school and that they would "shoot up the place" if someone did not come to stop them.

Oak Park High School went on lockdown after the threat was made. Students are being taken to a nearby high school to be picked up by their parents.
